Hello, I am Pocharaon Neammanee, but everyone just calls me Mos. I'm majoring in Journalism and minoring in Legal Studies. In terms of media, I'm a consumer, critique and hope to be more of a creator in media. Currently, I'm interning for the Rutgers Center for Immigration, Law Policy, and Justice. An important responsibility of that is to consume media relating to immigration and write about how it influences many perspectives on the discussion. I hope to begin creating media in terms of video and photo production to highlight the immigrant experience.
most of my experience involves media events. There is a lot of media coverage on the ongoing topic, therefore, it is important to be involved. My experiences with media are mostly involved in social media, specifically, Twitter. Twitter is playing a vital role in how many people today consume media and news. it became a forum for a diverse group of people to critique and involve themselves.
Media fits in my life currently as my consumption of news and media allows me to stay informed. in sense of my future aspiration, I hope to raise more awareness and tell stories through media. I want to do this by writing, and photographing the struggles and obstacles overcame of those immigrating.
I've chosen my twitter handle and an image of my volunteer work with refugees as my relationship with media. they illustrate my goals and consumption
